Local context

Carey Bay at a glance, for plumbing work

Carey Bay is named for William Cary, a Sydney building-supply businessman and Glebe alderman who was a director of the Excelsior Land, Investment and Building Co, which held the first subdivision in 1891. The 1921 post office was officially "Cary Bay". From the 1940s an aviary on Tom Brown’s tomato block grew into the Carey Bay Zoo, which closed in 1958, and a caravan park was built on the site. The 2021 Census counted 10.1% of occupied dwellings as flats and 16.0% as semi-detached homes or townhouses. In a block of units or villas, the first question is which pipes serve one home and which are shared.

Hot water replacement
My husband spoke with Josh the owner about our hot water service in the afternoon. By the next day it was installed and working. Great service. Great price. Very impressed.
