What changes the price
Access
Roof space, subfloor or a tight wall cavity takes longer than an open, walk-up install.
Storeys
A second-storey bathroom or roof-mounted unit adds ladder/scaffold time over a single-storey job.
Pipe material & era
Older galvanised or lead-jointed lines are slower and sometimes need more of the run replaced than newer copper or PEX.
Emergency vs scheduled
A genuine after-hours or weekend call-out is charged at a higher rate than a job booked in during business hours.
Gas compliance certificate
Any gas job includes the compliance certificate, a licensed, certified step a plumbing-only repair does not need.
