Blocked drains in Chain Valley Bay

We clear blocked sinks, toilets and sewers in Chain Valley Bay with the jetter or the drain machine, and put a camera down a drain that keeps blocking.

On the Central Coast the owner looks after the sewer pipes up to and including the point of connection, which takes in the boundary shaft and overflow gully. If the boundary shaft is flooded or a neighbour has the same problem, it may be Council’s, so call Central Coast Council on 02 4306 7900 before booking a plumber.

Local context

Chain Valley Bay at a glance, for plumbing work

Chain Valley Bay is a Central Coast Council suburb at the southern end of Lake Macquarie, next to Gwandalan and Summerland Point. You may see it written as Chain Valley Bay North or Chain Valley Bay South, but NSW Government mapping and the Census both show one suburb, and this page covers all of it. The 2021 Census counted 1,405 private dwellings: 90.1% of occupied dwellings were separate houses and 9.0% were semi-detached, row, terrace or townhouse dwellings. The Chain Valley Bay section of Lake Macquarie State Conservation Area keeps 272 hectares of bushland behind 600 metres of foreshore. Almost all of the suburb is inside the Swansea North Entrance Mine Subsidence District, where Subsidence Advisory NSW approval is needed before building or extending a home, so the plumbing for an extension is best planned alongside that approval.
