Blocked drains in Blackalls Park

We clear blocked sinks, toilets and sewers in Blackalls Park with the jetter or the drain machine, and put a camera down a drain that keeps blocking.

Local context

Blackalls Park: what to know before a plumbing job

At the head of Blackalls Bay, petrified tree trunks once stood in the water, and council’s history entry says some can be seen in a fence in Venetia Avenue. The suburb is named for Tom Blackall, a Newcastle dentist whose father, a chemist, travelled to work by train from the lake. The 1883 Sunderland subdivision had 564 allotments, and the Blackalls Park platform opened in 1891. Council records the Stony Creek area as sewered in 1942, extended in 1963. A house older than those dates, with its drains never renewed, is worth checking before a renovation.
