Do you charge more after hours?
Yes, a genuine after-hours or weekend call-out is a higher rate than a booked daytime job, and that rate is agreed on the phone before we head out. You will never find out what it costs when the invoice lands.
What actually counts as a plumbing emergency?
Anything still doing damage or making the house unliveable: burst pipes, sewer overflows, a gas smell, flooding, or no hot water where the household genuinely cannot wait. A dripping tap is a booking, not an emergency, and we will tell you that honestly on the phone.
Will a temporary make-safe do, or does it get fixed properly?
Where a permanent fix is possible on the visit, that is what we do. If the right repair needs daylight, parts or a dry block, we make it safe, stop the damage, and book the proper fix. Either way you are told which it is before we leave.
Can you help with the insurance side?
Yes. We can document the damage and the repair with photos and a written report of what failed and what was done, the kind of paperwork an insurer asks for. Mention it when you call so it is captured while the job is fresh.
