Toilet replacement and cistern repairs
A cistern that keeps running usually needs a new inlet valve or flush seal, a cheap repair. A cracked pan, a suite that leaks at the base, or one whose parts are no longer made is a toilet replacement: the old suite comes out and the new one is installed, connected and tested. In-wall cisterns have gone in on renovations at Gwandalan, Woongarrah and Bateau Bay, and bidet seats have been fitted to existing suites in Merewether and Chisholm.

Worth a go yourself
- Clean the aerator, a blocked aerator looks like low pressure
- Check the isolation tap under the sink is fully open
- Lift the cistern lid and check the flapper is seating properly

What it costs
Tap repairs and swaps run $120–$280 and toilet repairs or replacement $150–$450 in the price guide. Small jobs are quoted as a fixed price, so you know the number before we touch a fitting.

Fit-off work is constant: tapware, basins and toilets going in on bathroom renovations at Lake Munmorah, Gwandalan, Wyee Point and Yarramalong, with the same small repairs done on their own between the bigger jobs. On a bathroom renovation in Bonnells Bay, we fitted off dual vessel basins and wall mixers.

Is a dripping tap worth a call-out?
Usually yes, and not just for the water bill. A drip left long enough wears the seat so a washer will not fix it, and the leak you can see is often joined by one under the sink you cannot. If it is a quick washer or cartridge job, that is exactly what we charge for.
Repair the toilet or replace the suite?
A running cistern, inlet valve or flush seal is a cheap repair and worth doing. A cracked pan, a suite that leaks at the base, or one so old the parts are gone is the replace case. We quote both where both exist and let you decide.
Can you do a few small jobs in the one visit?
That is the efficient way to use the visit. The dripping mixer, the toilet that refills itself and the showerhead you have been meaning to swap can all be priced and done together, quoted as one fixed number before we start.
Can you install a toilet I have already bought?
Yes. We plumb in the suite you have bought, and supply one only where that is in the quote. A toilet replacement is quoted as a fixed price before we start, and the new suite is tested for leaks before we leave.
