In NSW, plumbing and gas fitting are licensed separately by NSW Fair Trading. A plumbing licence alone doesn't let someone work on gas. Josh holds both, which is why he can do the gas jobs other plumbers have to hand off or turn down.

Natural gas reaches Toukley and the Budgewoi peninsula through the main over Toukley Bridge, which Jemena’s contractor, Zinfra, calls “the only gas supply into the area”. A main in the area does not mean a property is connected, so we confirm natural gas or LPG at the meter before quoting.

Can a plumber be a gas fitter?
Only with a second licence. In NSW, plumbing and gas fitting are licensed separately by NSW Fair Trading, and a plumbing licence alone does not let someone work on gas. Josh holds both under contractor licence 498220C, so the gas side of a job is never subcontracted out.
What does gas fitting cost?

Do you take gas jobs after hours?
Yes. We are open 24 hours, 7 days, and a gas smell that does not clear once the supply is isolated is a call-now job. The after-hours rate is agreed on the phone before we head out.
