Floraville’s first subdivision was surveyed in 1886 on part of a 187-acre grant made to Henry Marks the year before. Council’s history says it appears to have been unsuccessful, with little building until about 80 years later, and the public school opened in October 1967. The 2021 Census counted 629 occupied dwellings: 87.6% separate houses and 10.7% semi-detached, row, terrace or townhouse dwellings. Council’s entry gives no water or sewer connection date for Floraville, so for any house here the meter and the street connections are found on site before anything is quoted.
