Blocked drains in Caves Beach

We clear blocked sinks, toilets and sewers in Caves Beach with the jetter or the drain machine, and put a camera down a drain that keeps blocking.

In Hunter Water’s area the owner looks after the sewer pipes up to where they join Hunter Water’s system, including the boundary trap and inspection shaft. If the inspection shaft is full or overflowing, the blockage may be in Hunter Water’s main, so call Hunter Water on 1300 657 000 (24/7) first.

Local context

Plumbing in Caves Beach: the local picture

Caves Beach began as The Plains Beach, was renamed Mawson in 1960, and got its present name back in 1965 after residents objected. The council’s history notes the large caves on the beach. The Parbury Estate was subdivided in 1935, Swansea High School opened here in January 1964, and Lake Macquarie City Council gives 1955 for the water supply. A house built between that first subdivision and the water supply is worth checking for how it was first connected.
