Mirrabooka was laid out as an estate in 1927, and between 1934 and 1970 a village known as Mirraview began to form near Fishery Point Road. It gained a school, a post office, a branch library and a sealed road; the post office closed in 1971 and the school in 1972. Council’s history entry gives 1963 as the water supply date. If a cottage was built before then, its supply plumbing may have been altered when the mains arrived, and the old and new runs are worth tracing.
