Local context
Millfield began as a cluster of buildings on the Great North Road and takes its name from a flour mill. It is a small historic village rather than a lakeside suburb: older homes sit around Wollombi Road, and a 100-lot residential estate was released from 2017. The stormwater run we did here, about 70 m connecting eight downpipes, is the drainage work both village and estate blocks need.
