More than half of The Entrance’s occupied homes are flats or apartments (52.9% at the 2021 Census), and in a unit the building decides whether a gas line can be run or cylinders placed. We confirm what the building has before quoting any gas appliance work.

At the 2021 Census, 52.9% of The Entrance’s occupied private dwellings were flats or apartments, 26.2% separate houses and 19.2% townhouses or semi-detached homes. On Census night 1,229 private dwellings (37.3%) were unoccupied. Wyong Shire Council’s 2009 Entrance Peninsula Planning Strategy gave a 2006 figure of 36% for the wider peninsula and assumed it reflected visitors.
