The suburb
Canton Beach is a small lakeside suburb. The 2021 Census counted about 1,200 residents in about 740 dwellings. Chinese fishermen worked the Tuggerah Lakes here in the late 1850s, though where the name comes from is not confirmed. The foreshore reserve is on Beach Parade. It adjoins Toukley and Noraville.
