How the job runs

What to expect, start to finish.

  1. Look at the supply

    Street pressure, tank, bore, existing pipework. Photos get us a long way; a site look confirms the pump size.

  2. Set the train

    Pump and vessel first, then filtration and UV, with a bypass so the house stays on for service.

  3. Copper and commission

    Manifold clipped, labelled potable, pump controller set, UV lamp proven, joints tested.

  4. Handover

    How to isolate, when to change cartridges, and a number to call when the lamp is due.

Pumps & Filtration FAQs

Is this for town water, tank water or a bore?

All three. Town water that arrives soft and then dies at the shower gets a mains-pressure pump and vessel. Tank and bore supplies usually want filtration and UV as well, because the pump is only half the job. We look at the supply before we quote the train.

What does a typical whole-home setup include?

A booster or mains-pressure pump, a pressure vessel so the pump is not short-cycling, two or three filter housings, a UV chamber, and a bypass with isolation valves so you can change cartridges without shutting the house down. Copper manifold, potable labels, tested before we leave.
