Donza Plumbing is run by Josh Bonser, a licensed plumber and gas fitter based in Mannering Park. The name is a family business, covering Newcastle, the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter.

Before Donza, Josh ran crews on large commercial jobs. The work was solid, but the bigger the site got, the less room there was to fuss over a pipe layout or talk to the person living in the building. When baby number two was on the way he stepped away from that scale and built a small crew that still carries the commercial skill, and answers the phone.

Josh holds both a plumbing and a gas fitting licence (Donza Plumbing Pty Ltd, ABN 51 697 209 153) and is fully insured. Gas work is licensed separately in NSW, so plenty of plumbers are not allowed to touch it. Josh can, which means hot water, cooktops, heaters and gas leaks are one job, finished and certified to AS/NZS 3500 plumbing & AS/NZS 5601 gas.

He turns up when he says he will, and he gives you a clear fixed price before he starts. Bathroom renovations, including NDIS set-outs, are the work the books stay full of. Drains, hot water and commercial kitchens sit beside that. You get Josh himself, not a call centre, and the job is left as if the house were his.
