Gas Fitting · NSW licensed

The gas work most plumbers can't legally touch.

In NSW, gas fitting is licensed separately from plumbing, and a lot of plumbers simply aren't authorised to work on gas. Josh holds both licences, so when your job involves gas hot water, a cooktop, a heater or a leak, he does the whole thing himself and signs it off. No subcontracting the gas out, no waiting on a second trade.

Plumbing vs gas

Two licences, not one.

In NSW, plumbing and gas fitting are licensed separately by NSW Fair Trading. A plumbing licence alone doesn't let someone work on gas. Josh holds both, which is why he can do the gas jobs other plumbers have to hand off or turn down.

Plumbing licence

Pipes & water

Covers water supply, drainage, taps, toilets and hot water on the water side. Plenty of operators hold this and only this.

Gas licence

Gas appliances & lines

A separate NSW gas-fitting licence to legally install, alter or connect gas appliances and gas lines, and certify the work. Josh holds it. This is us.

Plumbing only

Can't touch gas

A plumbing-only operator legally cannot work on gas. The moment a job involves a gas line or appliance, they have to turn it away or bring in a gas fitter.

What we can do

Gas work, start to finish.

Gas hot water

Supply, install and repair gas storage and continuous-flow hot water systems, with the gas compliance certificate issued on completion.

Cooktops, ovens & bayonets

Install and connect gas cooktops, ovens, upright stoves and bayonet points for portable heaters, certified and tested for leaks.

Gas heaters

Install and service flued and space gas heaters, sized to the room and safely flued so combustion gases vent outside.

Gas leak detection & repair

Find and repair gas leaks fast, a gas smell is an emergency. We isolate, test the line and make it safe before reconnecting.

Gas line installation

Run new gas lines and extend existing ones for appliances, alfresco kitchens and BBQ points, in both natural gas and LPG.

Compliance certificates

Issue the gas compliance certificate every gas job legally requires, your proof the work is safe, certified and insurer-ready.

LPG & natural gas changeovers

Convert appliances and connections between LPG and natural gas, or swap to a more efficient appliance, done to AS/NZS 5601.

Gas appliance servicing

Service and safety-check existing gas appliances, including carbon-monoxide testing on heaters, so your home stays safe.

Smell gas?

A gas leak is an emergency.

If you can smell gas, turn it off at the meter, open the windows, don't touch any switches or flames, and get everyone outside. Then call us. A licensed gas fitter has to find the leak, make the line safe and certify it before anything is turned back on.

Get a gas leak sorted

Why it matters

One tradesperson, one bill, one job.

When a job mixes plumbing and gas, a new gas hot water unit, a kitchen renovation with a gas cooktop, or a leaking gas line, a plumbing-only operator has to bring in a gas fitter. That means two trades, two schedules and usually a longer wait. Because Josh holds the gas licence himself, he handles the whole job in one visit, certified to AS/NZS 3500 plumbing & AS/NZS 5601 gas and finished with the gas compliance certificate your insurer and settlement agent want to see.
